#FoodTrip captures some of the real life, back and forth conversation that goes on behind the scenes as Stephie tunes her diet towards awesome health in her #FromScratch series!
I guess the title should read partridge! But I’m talking parsnips. Stephie had asked me about them after my last #FoodTrip post about potatoes. Parsnips look like a mellow yellow/white carrot. Major yum. Roasted with potatoes, in soups and stews, or…
A friend of mine insisted I try this combination. It’s very simple and utterly delicious:
Peel and slice carrots and parsnips.
Saute until tender in olive oil.
Sprinkle with turmeric, pepper, salt as needed. Toss to combine (This gives you the oil, black pepper, turmeric combination for optimal absorption/benefit). You can use dry turmeric or chopped fresh turmeric root.
Voila! A parsnip in a pear tree indeed!
As Stephie started her food [r]evolution, I found myself along for the ride, consulting via cell, text, and video as she navigated the supermarket and kitchen.
We realized that these sidebar discussions were not only fun but valuable. So #FoodTrip! was born.
As a long time #foodie, who went from margaritas and blackened rib eye to green tea and a vegetable based diet, I like to help others along their own path to anticancer health.
So I hope you enjoy our banter and even find it useful!
