In keeping with Chef Keller’s words, the food at last night’s meeting was fun, as well as simply amazing. Our “secret ingredient”, i.e. the food or flavor highlighted from the Nutritional Boot Camp, was garlic!

Chef Paul Crucitti who owns Fresh Creations Culinary School, prepared the following for us:

Garlic Soup
Japanese Eggplant Lasagne
Salad with Roasted Garlic and Vegetables (Blood Orange Vinaigrette)
Assorted Dips with Garlic (Spinach, Vegetable, Salmon and Bagna Cauda)
and
Chef Brandy’s Amazing Chocolate Chip Cookies

For those of you that missed the meeting, you might like to note the following events:

1. Meditation Classes: November 1, 8, and 15
Space is limited and the class is filling up. If you want to attend, please register ASAP.

2. Vampire Gala: October 20, 6-12 pm
This fun event will benefit JK Metzger’s widow who is fighting cancer, and the Anti-Cancer Club (who will use the funds towards a benefit for the Northern NV Children’s Cancer Foundation).

Our speaker, Robbin Palmer, PhD discussed the warning signs for hereditary cancer. Anyone interested in learning more can contact Dr. Palmer directly.
